"By the way all you young people who don't have insurance you can stay on your parents plan until you are 26 years old. You can have security!"
As I watch Obama spout his points again for reportedly the 54th speech on healthcare, now in front of another unanimously supportive audience today in Fairfax, VA I can't help but wonder if anyone sees the logical impracticality of his delightful box of chocolates.
Why is Obama discriminating against 27 year olds I ask you partly in jest? If this bill passes, I expect we will watch congressmen argue that artificial cut-off in the days ahead. But if we are giving so many people coverage, reportedly 32 million new people who are completely without healthcare for so many reasons (including not wanting it) why even make such absurd artificial ceilings on all the chocolates Obama offers...
ESPECIALLY as Obama goes on to say: "Even if you can't afford healthcare with new lower premiums, we will offer you tax credits that will add up to the largest tax cut in American history!"
I simply ask any American with any financial sense how we can have lower premiums, more coverage, more tax credits and that will equate, correspond or even as the President claims... ADD up to a TAX CUT?? Not just a TAX CUT but the "largest tax cut in American HISTORY!" Spending more, lowering premiums, offering tax credits, can NEVER add up to a CUT of TAXES.
"We're going to put millions of new fees on Insurance Companies who stand to make millions of new customers."
This is where the truth begins to slip out. Of course Obama cannot CUT TAXES to afford this plan. He is going to use FEES... not the word TAXES. These FEES are going to hammer the Insurance companies and anyone else who tries to OPT OUT of the Obamacare "Pool of Choices" that is the government box of chocolates.
"Americans will see their premiums go down 12-14%. Employers will see the cost of healthcare per employee go down $3,000 per employee. By the way with all that money your employer saves you should see if you are then able to get a RAISE!"
Obama claims there will be so much savings that you might even get a raise! Good luck with that one! Even Mr. Cahill the Treasurer for the State of Massachussetts has stated that the MA Healthcare plan is a BIG FINANCIAL LOSER and were it not for BIG FINANCIAL support from the Federal Government the plan in Mass would be ended.
"Here's the bonus it brings down the deficit by over a trillion dollars over the next two decades. Not only can we afford to do this, we can't afford not to do this."
Yes sure, and with all the money we are saving by not building a MAGLEV high speed rail from NY to LA to Anchorage to Tokyo we could bring down the deficit by 350 trillion over the next two weeks with the money we are already not spending.
Honestly think about what Obama is asking... Can we really afford NOT to spend on Healthcare to cover 32 MILLION more people and EVERYONE up to the age of 26 so that our DEFICIT will go DOWN by over a trillion dollars???
ROFLMAO yeah of course :P wink wink.
